Announced in late September, Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 have been available for a while now on both Windows and Mac OS X platforms, either direct from Adobe or at retail. Until yesterday, Premiere Elements wasn't available on the Mac App Store, and the most recent Photoshop version available was Photoshop Elements 9, which debuted on the iTunes-based system last July. It's now possible to get the latest versions of both Adobe's Elements-series consumer image and video editors directly via download from the App Store, if you favor that route over purchase direct from Adobe, or at retail.

New features in Photoshop Elements 10 include step-by-step guided editing, flowing text functionality, and a Smart Brush function with 30 new effects such as Pencil Sketch and Oil Pastel. Premiere Elements 10, meanwhile, adds color correction, InstantMovie themes, and a pan-and-zoom function that helps boost visual interest when including still photos in your videos.
