Nikon D4 digital SLR camera. Image courtesy Nikon USA.We've just posted our "Still Life" series test shots from a production-level Nikon D4 professional digital SLR, straight from the lab!

Compared to its predecessor, the D4 has a redesigned body and features a raft of updates throughout, bringing improvements both for photographers and videographers alike. Among these are a new 16.2 megapixel FX-format image sensor, 10 frames-per-second full-res shooting (or 11 fps with focus / exposure locked), an expanded ISO sensitivity range of 50 to 204,800 equivalents, much enhanced video functionality, illuminated controls, and a built-in Ethernet port, just to name a few.

Visit our Nikon D4 Hands-on Preview for more, and click on the Nikon D4 Samples tab for the test images we've shot so far. We'll be adding more test shots including RAW files in the hours and days to come, so check back soon!
