Are those two terabytes in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

Western Digital (WD) is now giving photographers the ability to carry around (potentially) all of their digital archive in an external hard drive not much bigger than a passport. Called, appropriately, WD's My Passport, the sleek drives offer up to 2 TB of capacity and come in five snazzy colors: white, black, silver, blue, and red.

The pocket drives are available in a range of capacities -- starting at 500MB -- and have specially coated finishes on their outer shells that are fingerprint and scratch-resistant. Other features include fast USB 3.0 connectivity; USB 2.0 compatibility; and WD's SmartWare continuous, automatic backup software. The drives also offer password protection with hardware encryption.

But the most appealing thing about these compact drives is their portability and massive capacity. Pricing for the My Passport drives start at $129 for the 500MB model with the 2 TB version retailing for $249.
