The Byrds once sang "So You Want to Be a Rock n' Roll Star" but what if you always wanted to be a Rock n' Roll photographer? Well, for the aspiring Bob Gruens and Mick Rocks of the world, there's an iPhone app for you.

Called Rock Photographer and designed by All-Nighters, this game for the iPhone and iPod Touch (iPad version coming soon) uses real footage of musicians, singers and dancers in the app, letting you try to capture rockin' photos of them just by touching the screen.

Though the game is more fun than educational, it encourages you to tilt your phone and photograph the performers from interesting angles to get the best shots. You also get points for perfectly timing your shots to produce the most impact in your rock n' roll images.

As you tally more points, you unlock hidden levels in the game as you head on your way to becoming, potentially, the "World's Greatest Rock Photographer." Yeah, it's pretty silly but it's all in good fun and will only set you back $1.99.

Check out the demo video below and see if you've got what it takes to become the next Rolling Stone photographer.
