Multiple improvements help the Canon T4i retain its position as one of the easiest digital SLR cameras to recommend. New features like Full HD video with stereo recording, a new 5-frames-per-second frame rate, and multi-shot modes -- including HDR -- are real improvements worth noticing.

It was the Canon T4i's new on-sensor phase-detect autofocus that gave us pause. While the new STM lenses do seem to focus more quietly in movie mode, the Canon T4i seemed pretty slow to decide its subjects were out of focus. So while we were still pleased with the many improvements, we didn't think this was one of them. Come see our videos and read our review to decide for yourself in our Canon T4i review!
