Japanese camera manufacturer Ricoh Pentax is continuing to set a rather brisk development pace for its simultaneously-launched Pentax K-5 II and K-5 IIs digital SLRs. The company has just released its third firmware update for both cameras, only 52 days after the first update's debut.

What's new in the latest Pentax K-5 II / IIs firmware version 1.03? According to the company, there is but one main change: exposure accuracy has been improved when shooting using AA batteries in the optionally-available portrait / battery grip.

As usual, Pentax does suggest that the new firmware may also include stability / performance improvements, but doesn't go on to detail these.

The new firmware includes changes made in version 1.01 and the later v1.02, so if your camera has gotten out of date, you can safely jump it straight to the latest version. More details on the Pentax website.
