Yes, perhaps, the Internet is filled with too many cat photos but a new series of images called "Big Cat, Small Cat," offers a clever take on everyday feline snapshots. The series, captured by photographer George Logan, is part of a new marketing campaign from Whiskas pet food.
The computer manipulated photos show domestic house cats in a range of situations in the wild including nuzzling with a lion; herding zebras; chasing a gazelle; and leaping onto the back of an elephant. The Whiskas campaign, created by the Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO ad team in London, used the "feeding your cat's instincts" slogan as the theme.
Of course, along with Logan's great photo work, the images feature some nifty Photoshop skills to drop the domestic cats into the wildlife settings surrounded by real animals. The executive creative director on the campaign was Paul Brazier and art directors were Alan Wilson, Andy Clough, and Sonnny Adorjan. The expert retouching was handled by Tony Swinney.
See a few of the "Big Cat, Small Cat" images below and a bunch more at full resolution on Logan's website.
