Panasonic firmware improves geotagging support for eight cameras

If you're a fan of geotagging, and you have a GPS-capable Lumix digital camera from Panasonic, you might want to take a moment to check if there's an update available for your camera. No less than eight closely-related models were updated today, and in each case the new firmware relates to the camera's GPS functionality.

For five models, the new firmware is said to improve the cameras' ability to record GPS track logs. Panasonic also suggests that other changes have been made, but doesn't specify what these might entail. The updated models and their download links are as follows:

 
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS30 is among eight cameras receiving updated firmware today.

The remaining three models are said to better filter images in Playback mode based on their recorded geotags. These three cameras and their download links follow below:
