Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield has had one of the more social-media-savvy tenures as commander of the International Space Station (ISS). Photography lovers, such as ourselves, have enjoyed the awesome images of earth he's been tweeting from space via his Twitter account.

We also liked the tips he shared on how to take great photos from space and the interesting science segments he's posted from the ISS, including answering a question on what happens when you wring out a wet towel in space.

Now, as he hands off the ISS commander's baton to cosmonaut Pavel Vinogradov, Hadfield has outdone himself with this wonderful (and highly Internet viral) cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity," proving he could be the coolest astronaut since Buzz Aldrin.

The video was produced by Evan Hadfield and edited by Andrew Tidby. We're guessing that some of the footage was shot with one of the many Nikon DSLRs onboard the ISS.
