Samsung unveils super-thin 10mm F3.5 Fisheye Lens for NX cameras

Samsung has released a new lens for its NX cameras, which it is billing as the smallest AF fisheye on the market. Weighing just 2.5oz, the Samsung 10mm F3.5 Fisheye Lens brings a full 180° field of view to the rather limited glass selection on the NX family of cameras.
While we don't know yet how much the lens will retail for, or when it'll be available, we do know a little about the specifications on this intriguing fisheye. It's the 35mm equivalent of 15.4mm, featuring a maximum aperture of f/3.5 and a minimum of f/22. The lens has seven aperture blades, and the optics are comprised of 7 elements in 5 groups with 1 aspherical lens. Unsurprisingly considering the large front element and 180° field of view, you won't be able to mount filters on this lens, though a small hood is integrated.
The Samsung lens comes with a number of iScene options: Night, Portrait, Beauty shot, Children, Backlight, Sports — additional scene modes tied to the lens, rather than the body of the camera.
By adding a fisheye lens to the mix, Samsung has succeeded in giving NX shooters a piece of glass that's a bit more unusual than most of its other offerings — which should mean more fun and interesting photographs.
