The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the tallest man-made structure in the world. It towers more than 2,700 feet in the air, and until someone crafts an even more impressive edifice, it's just about the biggest thing around. So, for those of us who don't want to head to the United Arab Emirates, Google Street View has one in our stead.

The Google Street View team sent their people to chronicle the Burj Khalifa, both inside and out, at the ground floor, and up the spire, wearing special backpacks to photograph as they walked. And you can walk along with them here. In a behind the scenes look at the project, the Google team talks about the three day long task to photograph the building.

And if you're not feeling too much vertigo, the view from the maintenance unit on the 73rd floor is particularly breathtaking.
