Benjamin Von Wong has made something of a name for himself by doing unusual shoots, and documenting all the behind-the-scenes stuff on his excellent blog. But his newest project is a bit of a departure: while it involves an awful lot of cameras, there's not a single photo being taken.

Instead, Von Wong and a few other creative people put together a 30-second piece of percussion music, played live using just sounds from Nikon cameras.

Von Wong set this up with help from Nikon's Elvis Do and composer Andrew Kesler, putting together a piece of music played with shutter clicks, focus beeps, flash firing, and more. All told, it took $30,000 worth of gear to put this whole piece together, including almost the entire suite of current generation Nikon DSLRs.

It's an incredibly cool project, and if you dig it enough, then yes, you can download it as an MP3.
