The Camera Bag: AbracadabrApp is a mini photo studio inside a Moleskine notebook

A bit over a year ago, a curious contraption dubbed the "Love Box" popped up. It was a little wooden device with a mirror and a slot for your iPhone, so that you could take both a picture of yourself, and someone you're looking at at the same time. Now, Moleskine has a clever, new book that does approximately the same thing, converting the iconic notebook into a miniature photo studio. The AbracadabrApp is available through Moleskine Italy, or through Etsy in the USA, and you can use it to shoot in two directions at the same time, and throw some filters over the lens, too.

Arguably, you could get a similar effect just by using a smartphone app like Dblcam, but where's the fun in that?

You can get a feel for the notebook in the video below, and there's no denying it's essentially a goofy little toy. The mirror just splits your view into two directions, and the small color filters give an interesting cast to the resulting images. But it's fun, and at $40, it won't break the bank.

And don't forget, you can still use it as a notebook when you're not taking hilariously awkward photos of two things at the same time.
