Bruce Weber and David Bailey are two huge names in photography, with both sharing decades of experience with the biggest names of fashion and editorial photography. And as part of Nokia's ongoing push on the 41-megapixel Lumia 1020 smartphone, these famed professional photographers have collaborated on a project shot with the phone. Captured over one day in Harlem, the pair shot over 1,000 pictures with the new high-res Lumia. A selection of the images will be presented on Nokia's site, and at an exhibit in London.

What's perhaps most remarkable about this event is that this marks the first time that Bruce Weber has shot digitally, and in a press release, he noted that, saying "I don’t do digital and this is the first time I have really gone out in the world and done like a digital sitting. I was impressed with the resolution and the beauty of the colour."

As for the images themselves, we've embedded a handful of them below for you to take a look at. Much like we noticed with the National Geographic Lumia 1020 photoshoot, there's nothing particularly remarkable about the image quality itself — but rather about the photographer being able to work with the location and the subjects. So while images like that of the boxer below are dynamic and interesting, and it's certainly better than most other smartphones, there doesn't seem to be much there that couldn't have been done with a decent compact camera, let alone a DSLR.
