Nikon has released a teaser for an upcoming camera -- and in just a few seconds of video, they've managed to pique our interests. With a new campaign called "Pure Photography," Nikon is hinting at something new in the works, and with the promise of more reveals to come, we're eager to see what it'll be.

The video below, "Pure Photography #1" was today released onto Nikon's YouTube page. A new product has also appeared on the Nikon DSLR page, which is blacked out, and labeled Pure Photography. Clicking through takes you to a microsite which gives you the premise of the ad campaign: "Nikon presents a series of short movies depicting a photographer roaming through Scotland with a camera as his only companion. Discover how he reunites with his creative self during this uniquely ambitious trip."

That first video? It's described as "A photographer stands alone in a bleak landscape. Something has been missing from his creative life. Will he find it here?"

The header image of the Pure Photography microsite (below) shows a glimpse of what the camera might look like -- but unfortunately, it's far too small to really pick up any details. But we can make out something of the size and shape of the camera, which seem fairly substantial.

So sound off in the comments -- what do you think Nikon is working on? Does the fact that it's mentioned on the DSLR page mean it's actually a DSLR? And are these brief teases enough to get you excited?
