What would you do if, in short order, you moved to a new country and added a tiny new person to your family? For most of us, the gap between waking and collapsing back into bed for a few fitful hours of sleep would consist of running from task to task, simply trying to keep up. Rinse, repeat on a daily basis, and try to stay sane. But there are folks out there who not only make such huge life changes seem easy, they somehow find the time and energy to inject a monumental dose of fun into the whole thing.

A delightful photo series from the folks at the Cardboard Box Office proves that it's possible. New parents Lilly and Leon found their lives jam-packed with empty boxes after a long-distance move and the arrival of their baby Orson, and they came up with the perfect way to to prevent the leftover cardboard from going to waste. All those boxes -- as well as a variety of other household items -- are put to great use recreating sets from classic movies. Then Lilly, Leon and baby Orson take to their newly-created stage in costume, and reenact each movie's most iconic scene in photo form.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The results are truly superb, an inspiration to new parents and enthusiastic photographers alike. What really floors us, though, is just how easily-identifiable they all are -- even without titles we'd have been able to name almost every movie. We've chosen a few of our favorites to share in this item, and you'll find almost a dozen more and counting on the Cardboard Box Office website. (Movie buffs, take note: If your favorite movies isn't represented, you can suggest its cardboard recreation on the site's contact page.)

Thanks to Lilly, Leon and Orson for allowing us to share their photos, and for reminding us that no matter how hectic life gets, there's always a way to fit in some fun!
