Adobe Camera Raw 9 update brings performance boost and features of Lightroom CC/6

Adobe has followed up the announcement of Lightroom CC/6 with the official release of Adobe Camera Raw 9.0. As has been the trend for many years, Adobe Camera Raw has received the main feature points of Adobe Lightroom CC/6, including the boost in performance, RAW panorama stitching, RAW HDR blending and, of course, updated support for a number of cameras and lenses.

To recap from Lightroom CC/6’s coverage from yesterday, Adobe Camera Raw 9.0 is now capable of utilizing your computer’s GPU card, giving you much more horsepower than before. Adobe Camera Raw 9.0 also received the new merge to Panorama and merge HDR modes, which allow you to stitch and blend images together while still exporting the final product as a RAW image.

For those not making the jump to Adobe's subscription model, you can also install Adobe Camera Raw 9.0 for Photoshop CS6, but it won't contain any of the new editing modes; only updated camera support, new lens profiles and bug fixes.
