Bloomberg News has reported that Google is looking to definitively split its Google+ Photos service from the stagnant social networking site.

This isn’t exactly old news, as rumors of this separation have long been tossed around in the industry, but Bloomberg’s latest unveilings do provide a few more details.

According to Bloomberg’s report, the impending separation ‘will probably’ be unveiled at Google’s I/O developer conference later this month. As part of the separation, a new tool will enable users to post their images across multiple social networks, including Facebook and Twitter.

It’s possible more details will leak as Google’s I/O conference draws nearer, so we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on any further developments.
