Last week, we shared the news that Mike Rundle was looking to sell off his successful iPhone photo editing app Filters. Today, Rundle announced that tap tap tap, the development team behind photo apps Camera+ and MagiCam, has officially signed the paperwork to acquire Filters.

In a blog post, Rundle stated he had ‘over a dozen serious inquiries’ from parties interested in purchasing Filters. Ultimately, he decided to sell it to tap tap tap due to his previous relationship with them and their decision to keep the app in the App Store, rather than purchasing it purely for the underlying image processing technology Filters uses, as others wanted to do.

In their own blog post, tap tap tap said they’re already getting ready to submit their first update to the App Store. Over the coming days, tap tap tap said they will be releasing another blog post explaining in detail the acquisition process and a roadmap for future updates of Filters.

You can find Filters for iPhone for US$0.99 in the iOS App Store by clicking here.
