For owners of APS-C cameras who want a lot of bang (and range) for their buck, Tamron has announced the release of its brand new 18–200mm F/3.5–6.3 Di II VC lens.

A successor to Tamron’s AF 18–200mm F/3.5–6.3 XR Di II LD Aspherical lens, this new lens improves upon its older sibling by adding Vibration Compensation along with better performance thanks to updated optical and mechanical construction.

Tamron claims this lens is the lightest in its class, weighing in at only 14.1 oz (400g).

It features a 7-blade rounded aperture and its optical construction is comprised of 16 elements in 14 groups. One of the optical elements is low dispersion (LD).

The lens is available for the following mounts: Canon EF-S, Nikon F (AF-S), and Sony A-mount.

You can purchase the 18–200mm F/3.5–6.3 Di II VC lens at B&H for $249. For more information and specifications, head on over to our SLRGear page.
