Reflectors are one of the most fundamental and versatile light modifiers you can purchase. As simple as they are in construction, though, rarely are they cheap. One solution to cutting costs, as with almost anything is to take a DIY approach.

To help you do that, the energetic Jay P. Morgan has created a helpful video that demonstrates how you can use nothing more than insulation, available at almost any hardware store, to create a variety of reflectors to help you fill in those shadows.

The video is six-and-a-half minutes long — about the time it should take you to make your reflectors once you have the supplies.
