IKEA usually isn’t the first company that comes to mind when you think of photography products. But with a little imagination and a couple of dollars in your pocket, you can find an incredible amount of products that double as DIY photography equipment in the winding aisles an IKEA store.

Photography blog Shootr has created a two-and-a-half minute video and accompanying blog post showing six of the most interesting IKEA ‘hacks’ you can try for yourself. They range from a softbox made from IKEA’s $3 SCHOTTIS shade to a laptop hood made from IKEA’s $6 DRÖNA storing unit. It’s a quick and quirky watch well worth a few minutes of your time.
