To show off the 4K imaging capabilities of its NX1 camera, Samsung has teamed up with Andrew Putschoegl and Major League Baseball (MLB) to create ‘The Curator’, a short film that takes an inside look at the life of Clyde ‘The Guide’ Doepner, the only full-time curator of MLB memorabilia.

Debuting today at PhotoPlus Expo, ‘The Curator’ was directed by Samsung ImageLogger and award-winning filmmaker Andrew Putschoegl. The film was shot and can be viewed in 4K with imagery captured on Samsung’s NX1 cameras.

The twelve minute film takes us on a short journey alongside Doepner, a full-time curator of memorabilia for the Minnesota Twins whose passion for the game and the memorable pieces that hold its history shines through from beginning to end.

Whether you’re a baseball fan or not, it’s a great short that’s easily worth twelve minutes of your time.

‘The Curator’ marks the fifth installment of Samsung’s 4K content series, which includes another film directed by Putschoegl, ‘Yvonne’, which we shared earlier in the year.

If you happen to be at PhotoPlus Expo, you can stop by the Samsung booth throughout today and chat with Putschoegl about what went into making the shorts.
