Canon Australia has published another installment of "The Lab" series, this time forcing photographers to get their creative juices flowing.

In a previous Lab video that we covered, Canon tasked six portrait photographers with creating a portrait of a man that expressed his life story. He told each of them a different story, however.

This time, six photographers have been invited to a studio shoot. The twist in this case is that the studio is completely empty and selfies aren't allowed. How are these six photographers going to make any images, how will they create "something from nothing"…

I'm not sure that any of these images are ones that I would personally like to hang on my wall, but it is nonetheless interesting to see what a photographer can come up with for a subject when they're in an empty room. Canon certainly didn't make it easy for them.

We do get to see photographers going through the creative process as they pace around the studio, seeing how the lighting creates different shadows, trying to find patterns, even if they're very small. One photographer even stripped down and captured images of his clothes as they fell to the floor.
