MacPhun, the makers of Aurora HDR, has released the OS X app Filters for Photos.
When Apple removed iPhoto from OS X, they replaced it with Photos. While some users lamented the loss of iPhoto, Photos brings with it the ability to use extensions. Filters for Photos can be used as either a standalone app or as an extension to Photos.
Filters for Photos is free to download and provides you with 30 filters to use. Filters include Alien Skin, Ancient Canvas, Brush Strokes, Comix Halftone, Rainbow Palette, and many more.
Features include a brush for making selective edits, filter adjustment sliders, the ability to mix and match different filters, exporting to Adobe and Macphun apps, social media sharing, and more.
As of right now, over 30,000 photographers have downloaded the free application and you too can do so here. Can't beat free, right?
