Our friends at LensRentals.com have updated their website, making their process of renting lenses more understandable and giving the whole site a fresh new look. Operating since 2006, LensRentals was started by Roger Cicala "as a way to expand his own gear collection and share his photographic knowledge," expanding over the intervening ten years to a staff of nearly 100 people.

LensRentals has been running a popular promotion during November, which ends on the 22nd, in which you can rent one lens, and get a second lens for half the rental price. Just use the code FALLROGO.

In addition to running a healthy business renting lenses, Roger and his staff run a comprehensive testing laboratory, the results of which make for some interesting reading on their blog, especially if you know your way around MTF measurements and distortion curves. Their most recent blog entry shows how they test a set of JPL/NASA lenses being screened for use in satellites.
