2016 was not kind to GoPro. The company saw its stock prices plummet, was forced to trim its workforce on two separate occasions and had to recall its Karma drone.

Not keen to stay grounded for long, GoPro has announced that its first drone will be relaunched later this year. The $800 aerial platform will hopefully stay in the air following the company fix for what it calls a "mechanical issue related to securing the drone's battery."

If you own a Karma and have not returned it yet, you are urged to do so to receive a full refund and to avoid experiencing potentially dangerous issues with the original Karma. You can learn more about the recall here. Hopefully you won't have to wait long for the revised product to be released, as details will be available for the "global relaunch" in early February.
