Following up on our earlier story about Adobe’s concept for an intelligent digital assistant to help you with your photo editing, the company has also published a video showing the Adobe Research team’s work on real-time face painting.

This new spin on face painting showcases interesting technology that allows the user to rotate a face within a still image, making it appear and act as though it has true depth. The possibilities that this technology could have not only for portrait retouching are very intriguing. Check out the technology in action below.

Like the intelligent digital assistant Adobe showed off this week, the company hopes that its research team will be able to integrate the face painting technology into Creative Cloud applications soon.
