Samyang/Rokinon expands their cinematic lens lineup: Xeen 20mm T/1.9 announced

Samyang/Rokinon launched their XEEN lineup in 2015 and are now expanding it further with a new cinema lens, the XEEN 20mm T/1.9. The 20mm T/1.9 joins their existing XEEN lens lineup, which includes 14mm T/3.1, 16mm T/2.6, 24mm T/1.5, 35mm T/1.5, 50mm T/1.5, 85mm T/1.5 and 135mm T/2.2 optics.
The lens is designed for full-frame cameras and has “outstanding image quality…for 4K+ production for filming video and cinema.” The 20mm T/1.9 lens has a focusing range of just under eight inches (0.2 meters) to infinity. To help create a cinematic look, the XEEN 20mm T/1.9 uses 11 aperture blades. Like the rest of the XEEN lenses, the new 20mm has a 200° focus angle has manual control over aperture and focus. To help with usability, particularly for video, the lens has dual-side focus and T-stop scales.
The XEEN 20mm T/1.9 is available for PL, EF, F, E and MFT mounts. DIY Photography is reporting that the lens will be launched in March for around US$2,400. For more information on the lens, see here.
