Manfrotto, a company best known for their camera support gear and photo accessories, has announced the Manfrotto Lens Filter Suite. The Lens Filter Suite combines Manfrotto’s filters with Manfrotto Xume magnetic adapters.

The Lens Filter Suite includes a Manfrotto filter, a Manfrotto Xume lens adapter and filter holder plus an optional cap (the cap is only available in a 77mm size). Manfrotto’s available filters can be seen here and include neutral density, UV and protective and circular polarizing filters in a variety of strengths and qualities, including up to nine stops of light reduction in the case of the ND500 neutral density filter.

The Manfrotto Xume consists of a pair of quick release adapters which allow photographers to quickly attach and swap out filters. The first step is to screw the Manfrotto Xume lens adapter to your lens. After that, you mount your filter to the Xume filter holder using the thread and then you magnetically attach the filter holder and filter to the lens adapter and it snaps into place.

The Manfrotto Xume filter holders and lens adapters are now available in eight sizes: 49mm, 52mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm and 82mm. The Xume Cap is only available in a 77mm size. Manfrotto filters range in price from just under US$20 to around $135 and Xume Adapters cost between $11 and $35. If you’ll be attending WPPI in Las Vegas, you can view the Manfrotto Lens Filter Suite at the Manfrotto Distribution booth, which is booth number 349.
