So, you have been recording more video and want to get a nice lighting setup, but you don't want to break the bank? Caleb Pike from DSLR Video Shooter is here to help you get a great lighting kit together for US$500.

There are a lot of LED lighting options out there and it can be overwhelming. To help cut through the noise, Pike has selected two products from Aputure, a well-respected brand for a wide array of lighting solutions. The primary light is the Aputure HR672S, a daylight LED which comprises over half of the total kit cost. Accenting the HR672S are a pair of Aputure H198 LED lights. Rounding out the kit are a pair of batteries, Neewer light stands, a Neewer reflector kit and Neewer Diffusion Fabric.

As you can see in the video above, Pike focused on affordability, portability and power when choosing the products listed above. The video does a great job going over the products in Pike's kit and how to use them. If $500 is too expensive, stay tuned to Pike's DSLR Video Shooter YouTube channel, as he will be putting together a $250 kit as well.
