This past spring, Tamron released a new version of their popular 10-24mm ultra wide-angle zoom lens for APS-C cameras. The lens provides a 15-36mm-equivalent focal length on Nikon DX cameras and 16-38.4mm-equivalent on Canon APS-C cameras. The new Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II VC HLD lens includes an improved optical design, build quality and autofocus system as well as vibration compensation.

Do these improvements ultimately result in a great, affordable, ultra-wide zoom lens? Find out in our new Field Test, where I test the lens across a wide range of real-world shooting situations and take a close look at its optical performance.
