Canon 6D Mark II First Shots: Production-level lab samples from Canon’s entry-level full-frame DSLR

Announced earlier this summer, the long-awaited Canon 6D Mark II was finally unveiled to the world. Sporting a similar lightweight design -- though now with a nifty articulated touchscreen -- the 6D Mark II's internals are all new compared to 2012's original 6D. Canon's upgraded the sensor, going from 20-megapixels to a 26-megapixel full-frame chip -- it's not a massive upgrade in resolution, but for the target market, the Mark II offers a nice level of pixel-peeping power. The 6D Mark II also offers the latest DIGIC 7 image processor, which is the first 7-series processor in a full-frame Canon DSLR. Together, the camera's native ISO range increases to a maximum of 40,000, compared to 25,600 in the original (the full expanded ISO range of 50-102,400 remains unchanged).
