Lensrentals has announced what they are calling a "trial" of drone and virtual reality equipment for rental nationwide, citing that demand has finally stabilized to the point where the rental giant feels they can start investing in the equipment. Their inventory will include the Mavic DJI Pro, DJI Phantom 4 Pro and DJI Inspire 2 drones, and a number of supporting equipment items.  Similarly, Orah 4i and Nikon virtual reality/360 equipment and accessories will also be available.

This nationwide trial follows a successful prior trial of the drone program where the Lensrentals team tested their packaging and maintenance of the somewhat fragile aerial cameras. Lensrentals says that their expansion into drones and virtual reality equipment categories "creates opportunities for individuals seeking to try and buy gear through the Lensrentals Keeper program – that allows customers to rent equipment, keep the equipment and apply rental fees towards the purchase."

To comply with FAA regulations, if you choose to add a drone to your cart for rental or purchase you will be directed to the remote pilot airman certification page at checkout.
