For fans - like us - of Capture One Pro 10, Phase One shared some interesting news yesterday. The company has released a new series of Styles, which are one of the big features of Capture One Pro 10.1. The first "Grading Styles" Styles Pack is the new "Spectrum" pack.

Each Styles Pack comes with up to 18 different Styles, which have been carefully designed to modify curves, saturation and tonal adjustments without changing key parameters, such as your exposure, white balance and levels. Spectrum has been designed to deliver "understated adjustments through cinema-inspired color grading," which a quick look through the most popular photographers on Instagram will tell you is very much a hot style.

The Spectrum Styles Pack includes 15 different color grading Styles, which each come in two strengths. While you have to purchase the pack to have access to all 15, you can try a sample pack which comes with five styles. Spectrum costs just under US$50, while the other five available Styles Packs (Cinematic, Seasonal, B&W, Matte and Essentials) sell for around $70. You can purchase them here. It's a steep price for what are essentially presets, but for photographers who are pushed for time, a useful Style could save you a lot of time. Through the link above, you can also download the Sample Pack which includes five sample Styles from each pack. If you are not yet sold on Capture One Pro 10 itself, you can read our Capture One Pro 10 Review to see if it's the right software for you.
