About a month after announcing their new Exposure X3 software, Alien Skin has released the new RAW photo editor to the public. Exposure X3 includes numerous creative enhancements and powerful new organizational tools.

On the creative editing side of things, color and black and white toning adjustments have been improved thanks in part to the new linear and radial shapes for masking and new blacks and whites sliders. To make editing easier, there are new side-by-side views for comparing multiple images or applying different presets to the same image.

For organization, Exposure X3 now includes virtual copy capabilities that allow you to create multiple variations of the same images without using up disk space. X3 also adds new keyword capabilities and a dedicated keyword interface, allowing you to create keywords and themes to help you easily find images. You can use "collections" to easily group like images together from multiple locations too.

Alien Skin's CEO Finley Lee says of Exposure X3, "Exposure gives photographers all the tools they need for professional photo editing, freeing them from relying on multiple apps to complete their workflow. Exposure's speed helps them produce beautiful images extremely quickly. From capture to creativity, Exposure is the fastest way for photographers to bring their vision to life."

The all-in-one nature of Exposure X3 is designed to ensure that photographers have one application for their organizing and editing needs. With that said, Exposure X3 can also be used as a plug-in within Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. For new customers, Exposure X3 can be purchased for $149. For existing Exposure users, upgrade pricing is available for $99. If you'd like to purchase Exposure X3 in addition to other Alien Skin software, there is also a bundle which includes Blow Up and Snap Art tools with Exposure X3 for $199, or $119 if you own one or more of the apps in the X3 bundle. There is also a 30-day free and fully-featured trial of Alien Skin's Exposure X3 software available here
