Old versus new: Has Adobe really improved Select and Mask in Photoshop CC 2018?

Being able to make complex selections is one of the most important features in Adobe Photoshop for many users. Alongside layers, advanced selection tools are a large part of what separates Photoshop from something like Lightroom. Some users have remarked that Adobe has actually made their Select and Mask functionality poorer as they've updated the software. Nathaniel Dodson of Tutvid is one of those people.

According to Adobe, who had been in contact with Dodson, Select and Mask is much improved for Adobe Photoshop CC 2018. In Dodson's video below, we find out if that's true. Nathaniel takes the same images and runs them through old and new versions of Photoshop to see which iteration of Select and Mask ultimately reigns supreme.
