In our first two Nikon D850 Field Tests (you can read Part I here and Part II here) we looked at the full-frame DSLR primarily as a stills camera. In the newly-published Nikon D850 Field Test Part III, I have taken a look at it as a video camera.

The Nikon D850 includes a built-in 4K time-lapse mode, which works well and provides a good amount of user control and an intuitive interface. The D850 is the first Nikon full-frame camera to record 4K video using the full width of the sensor. The video quality is very good, and the D850 includes many videographer-friendly features. However, the camera's autofocus, while very good for still photography, comes up a bit short when recording video.
