When one hears "Panasonic mirrorless camera" and "video recording," you probably immediately think of the GH5 or new GH5S, and for good reason -- they are amazing video cameras. With the recent G9 camera, however, Panasonic focused more on still photography features and performance. Despite that, the G9 is quite a versatile, high-quality video camera, offering a lot of high-end features at a very competitive price. In fact, it's one of the very few sub-$2,000 cameras that can shoot 4K video at 60fps.

In his just-published Field Test Part II, photographer Jeremy Gray focuses all of his attention on the G9's video recording capabilities, including video quality across the ISO range, video AF performance, image stabilization and more. Overall, the G9 is an impressive camera when it comes to video. It doesn't have all the versatility nor the features for video compared to the GH5 or GH5S, however, but as a camera that's tailored more towards stills, it's a solid multimedia device indeed.
