A few weeks back, we told you about the brand-new Sony A7 III, the company's latest entry-level full-frame mirrorless camera. Described by Sony as being its "basic model", the A7 III is nevertheless a whole lot more than what the title might suggest. With this camera, Sony aims to get the fundamentals right even while keeping cost to a minimum.

And having spent the best part of a week shooting with the A7 III in Las Vegas shortly after the launch, I have to say that I'm seriously impressed. This is one heck of a camera for the money, especially in the performance and autofocus departments! So how did I fare in my first shoots with the A7 III, and where do I see strengths or weaknesses in the design? To find out, you'll want to read the first field test in our ongoing Sony A7 III review for the full story!
