The beginning of a new year is usually a quiet time when it comes to firmware news, and the start of 2019 has certainly been no different in that respect. We're already three weeks into the year, but until just yesterday we'd not found news of a single firmware update since the holidays. Panasonic swoops to the rescue of Firmware Friday, though, with new firmware updates for nine different camcorder models, of which seven are 4K models and two are Full HD camcorders.

In all, there are updates for the HC-V800, HC-V808, HC-VX1, HC-VX11, HC-WX1FM, HC-WXF1, HC-WXF11, HC-VXF1 and HC-VXF11 camcorders. And in every single case, the sole change is a promised improvement in still image picture quality, with no other changes noted, so we can keep this week's roundup extremely brief indeed.

If you own one of the camcorders we've mentioned, you'll find the ncessary firmware updates at the links below:

And that's all for this week. A belated Happy New Year to all of our readers from your humble editor, and be sure to check back next time for more firmware news!
