How Jessica Kobeissi edits and retouches fashion portraits, from start to finish

Photographer Jessica Kobeissi has racked up over 1.3 million subscribers on her YouTube channel in large part because her videos are both entertaining and educational. In her latest video, she goes fully into the educational aspect by going through the process of editing a fashion portrait from start to finish, including retouching and color editing.

When editing and retouching a fashion portrait, Jessica's first step is to open her raw file in Adobe Camera Raw inside of Adobe Photoshop. Obviously every image will have different requirements, but in Camera Raw, Kobeissi likes to make subtle global adjustments, including changing shadows, clarity and more. She also utilizes the HSL Adjustments tab in Adobe Camera Raw to bring out more of the desired colors and start to create a specific tone and style for the image.
