Retouching portraits in ON1 Photo RAW 2019

ON1, makers of ON1 Photo RAW 2019, have many great educational videos on their YouTube channel and the most recent pair of videos are perfect for beginning portrait photographers.

The first video below is aimed at someone who is totally new to ON1 Photo RAW 2019 and it goes through the portrait editing process from the very beginning, including an overview of where various tools are located within the user interface. After locating the appropriate editing tools, we can then jump into adjusting tones and colors in the image. Part of most portrait processing workflows, there is also retouching and addressing blemishes and imperfections in skin. You don't want to go overboard here, of course, as we want a natural and realistic appearance in most cases.

If you want to take your retouching skills further, ON1 also published a video showing three ways to flawlessly retouch skin, including smoothing skin and removing blemishes. It also shows off the Portrait Tab, which includes specific editing tools for skin, eyes and the subject's mouth.
