Nature and wildlife photographer Morten Hilmer recently had a very productive and enjoyable day of wildlife photography. Dressed in a camouflage suit, Hilmer was able to get close to a wide variety of animals, including birds and foxes.

In the behind the scenes video below, we join Hilmer as he photographs with his Nikon Z6 mirrorless camera. Carefully sneaking around, Hilmer first comes across a trio of cranes in a meadow. This marks the first time he's been able to photograph cranes in his native Denmark. To help get closer images, Hilmer opted to use a teleconverter.

After spending the morning photographing the cranes, Hilmer returned home to prepare for his evening expedition to the forest. As Hilmer explored the forest, he was caught up in a heavy rainstorm, which added a lot of mood to the area. Hilmer's evening expedition proved fruitful, as he was able to photograph a fox, rabbit and a family of deer.
