Sigma has announced its schedule of August dealer photography workshops, which includes five workshops in the western United States and a single workshop in New York. The hands-on workshops are aimed at photographers of all skill levels and allow photographers to learn from Sigma experts and try out Sigma's latest lenses.

The first workshop is on August 7 in Reno, Nevada and allows attendees to practice automotive and portrait photography at the local Land Rover and Jaguar dealership. Sigma lenses and Sony cameras will be available to try. On August 8 in Fresno, California, photographers are invited to Fresno County Historical Museum to photograph various historical artifacts and talk with Sigma rep, Lew Held. On August 10, Sigma technical specialist Aaron Norberg will be visiting Glazer's Camera in Seattle, Washington to discuss urban landscape photography, including composition, which gear to use and how best to set up your camera. Of these three workshops, the first two are free with the urban landscape photography workshop costing $25 to attend.

On August 15, in Brooklyn, New York, Sigma is co-hosting a free Instameet with Tiffen and Adorama at Brooklyn Bridge Park to photograph the beautiful and iconic New York City skyline. Attendees will be able to try out Sigma and Tiffen products while learning from professional photographers. Further, there will be raffle prizes, giveaways and contests during the event. Back out west on August 18 in Ione, California, photographer Tim Engle will be conducting an event at the historic Preston Castle, which will be hosted by Action Camera of Roseville, CA. Photographers may bring models if they'd like, but there will also be models and lighting equipment on hand as well. Sigma representative Lew Held will be available to distribute loaner equipment and answer questions, and this workshop will cost roughly $30. Finally, on August 24 in Portland, Oregon, Pro Photo Supply will be hosting a travel photography workshop and presentation given by Aaron Norberg. Following the presentation, attendees will go on a photo walk through downtown Portland and be able to try out Sigma lenses. This workshop has a $25 fee.
