Last month, Skylum Software announced the first major new feature of its upcoming Luminar release, AI Sky Replacement. This month, Skylum has lifted the curtain on yet another major new feature for Luminar 4, the AI Structure tool. AI Structure, like the new Sky Replacement feature, AI Structure will leverage the power of artificial intelligence to analyze your image and intelligently apply adjustments where needed. In the case of AI Structure, Luminar 4 will utilize content-aware technology to allow you to selectively add detail and structure to your image.
Unlike previous methods for adding structure, details and clarity to your photos, AI Structure will not universally apply the same amount of structure across your entire image. The AI Structure tool identifies objects, such as people, the sky, buildings and more, in order to improve detail and clarity. Of AI Structure, Skylum CTO Dima Sytnik says the following:
"This technology is truly one-of-a-king – it's unmatched in the world today. AI Structure is a tool that will make your photo not only expressive, but also help to transform it from flat to dramatic."
AI Structure works with any type of photo and has been carefully designed to not add artifacts such as noise or halos to your image during processing. Further, it can be used in conjunction with other Luminar 4 filters.
When Luminar 4 releases this fall, AI Sky Replacement and AI Structure will not be the only tools powered by machine learning, so stay tuned to Imaging Resource to learn more as we approach Luminar 4's release. To learn more, head over to Skylum.
