Skylum Luminar 4 is now available for preorder at a promotional price and with a special bonus

 

 

Skylum has opened preorders for Luminar 4, their upcoming complete photo editing solution. Over the last few months, Skylum has been teasing the software by showing off new features, particularly ones which leverage the power of artificial intelligence. New and improved features for Luminar 4 include AI Sky Replacement, AI Skin Enhancer and Portrait Enhancer, AI Structure and much more.

In addition to new AI-powered features, Luminar 4 includes a new edit module, new smart contrast functionality, a new overlay library, a new Color Styles (LUT mapping) library and new Luminar Looks. As for improvements to existing features, Luminar 4 promises improved stability and performance, an improved erase tool, better Golden Hour filter, more intelligent noise reduction and an improved adjustable gradient filter.

 

Luminar 4 includes an improved user interface, including a new Edit module. Popular features, such as the Sunrays feature seen above, return in Luminar 4.

As has been the case with previous versions of Luminar, Luminar 4 can be used as a standalone application or as a plugin for compatible host software, such as an extension to Apple Photos or as a plugin to Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Luminar 4 can be used solely to edit your photos, or it can be used as an all-in-one software as it offers library tools and organizational features as well.

 

AI Skin Enhancer and Portrait Enhancer are new to Luminar 4 and include AI-powered intelligent skin smoothing and portrait retouching features.

Luminar 4 will be releasing on November 18 for $89 for new users and $69 as an upgrade for existing Luminar users. However, until its release, the software can be preordered for a special price of $79 for new users. Further, all preorders will include a one-year SmugMug Portfolio plan, which would otherwise cost $180. You will also receive a special "Inspiration Looks" pack to spice up your photos. AI Sky Replacement takes Luminar 3's sky enhancer to the next level by allowing users to completely replace the sky in an image, including color and lighting adjustments to the rest of the image to ensure a natural-looking final result.
