9 out of 10 points and recommendedVery sharpA little soft in lower left corner at f/2.8 that clears up at f/3.2 and beyondI registered here to give my review of this lens after seeing a few 2 and 3 star reviews. This is my second sharpest lens (my Nikon 35mm f/1.8 is just a bit sharper). It's a joy to use. If I'm isolating a subject at f/2.8, who cares if it's a tad soft in the lower left hand corner? Stopped down just a bit it's very sharp edge to edge.

Maybe I got as good a copy as Tamron makes and the two star reviewer got a lemon but I can say that when you get a good copy it's a fine lens. It's exactly what I wanted: sharp with a steady f/2.8.
