Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM
9 out of 10 points and recommendedGood images, IS, mid range zoomLittle Soft wide @2.8A quality modern mid range zoom for 1.6x crop with all the bells and whistles, constant F2.8, IS & USM. A bit soft at wide end at 2.8 which becomes sharper at f4. Like to see this lens upgraded to L quality for around the same price. Shoots good images but so does the 17-85 at f4. Still glad I own it.

Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
10 out of 10 points and recommendedWide for crop, light, easy to use, great imagesnone reallyMy fav, its great just get it. One of the best wide lenses of its caliber the best EF-S lens Canon makes. Like most lenses, any slight tech probs are fixable via post. A better lens won't help you shoot better photos only your ability.

Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
10 out of 10 points and recommendedprice, image quality, bokehnoneFor a cheapish EF prime on a 1.6x crop this is a nice focal range for portrait, nice bokeh. Also useful for Landscape, build quality is good for a non L, its a prime just get it already.
