    Good range, reasonable image quality, price

    I bought this lens as a reasonably priced alternative to the Canon 350D "kit" lens.

    For the price, I'm a happy camper. It seems to do a good job in actual use.

  • Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USM

    Light weight and compact

    I sometimes find myself going back to this "kit" lens for everyday use because it is light and compact, easy to carry as a general lens. Not the highest image quality, but it can produce reasonable photos. A good learning lens for first-time dslr buyers.
